Not All Serial Killers Wear Masks (Episode 696)
Erik Childress and Peter Sobczynski take a look at Guillermo Del Toro’s recent passion project getting the Criterion treatment. There are clown kidnappers, a monster on the streets of Paris, the teenage antichrist as well as a group of BMX riders. Glenn Ford has to deal with some other young punks, Julia Roberts & Clive Owen are corporate spies, William Powell & Myrna Loy team again and one of the funnier comedies of the 2020s that you likely missed gets an upgrade. Arrow resurrects another box set of home video action shlock but also Peter’s favorite Peter Jackson film. Finally, if you really want to frighten someone this Halloween show them John MacNaughton’s Chicago portrait of a serial killer who doesn’t wear a mask.
